just like senior prom

The culminating event last night is finally over. I've thrown away my fake eyelashes and silicon paddings out from my life and mum's green heels are back in the closet. Man that event was tiring! Nevertheless, I safely can say that I had a really good time even if it meant going straight home after the party :3

My preparation for the event paid off big time. I found my own gown, picked out my accesory (which were a pair of dangling earrings I already had) and even did my own make-up which i am very proud of (well, technically I did everything except put on the green eyeshadow and the fake eyelashes which mum did). I felt like it was prom again with my hair styled almost the same way and with the false lashes on. The only difference is the dress and that I'm twenty years old still looking like a 4th year high-school student attending the promenade ball.

Eli picked me up around 5pm (which was really the call time of the event, but we all know how people are with time) with her father driving us to Holiday Inn and with Kam onboard. It was a nervous ride going to the event and at the same time very exciting. I was anxious to see everyone in their formal wear especially the ladies all dolled up in their gowns. After 30mins or so, we finally got to the venue.

We arrived at a large crowd of people waiting outside the back entrance of Holiday Inn. I could feel my heart pumping in anxiety and dragonflies in my tummy. As I stepped outside, I got even more nervous when the guys were applauding at me. LOLZ mga loko talagang lalake oh! XD

The function hall was packed and we were seated at the worst possible place; far from the stage. I wanted to take snapshots of the whole event but I wasn't able to because of the poor location. At any rate, I think I got the shots I needed to get that night more important than the event itself.

The event started off with the picture taking. Then the dinner followed which was mind blowing considering everyone thought that it would be plated but it turned out that it was an eat all you can buffet! WOWZER! They had lasagna, chicken, veggies and I forgot the other one. Salads were available and the desserts included creme brulee (which actually didn't taste good according to Eli) buko pandan salad and revel bars. It's so funny that everyone's plate was loaded with food that night even mine! haha

Some intermission numbers followed after the dinner. I was either outside taking pictures that time, OR going back and forth to the CR because I kept peeing because of the coldness of the place. After the intermission number, they announced the nominees for the LADY and GENTLEMAN of the night. I wonder why I wasn't nominated?... Hmmm.. haha JUUUUST KIDDING! I wouldn't care less if I was nominated eitherway, and I didn't have any plans of being nominated or even winning that night. But it wouldn't hurt if I won right? haha

After that, they finally announced the winners from the dramafest which was held last month in our BA days celebration. Jhomz' group were the overall champs. It was pretty obvious anyway so no surprise there. He even won Best Stage Manager which I am very proud of. So are you asking if we won? NAAH. But we did win something. Philip, who was a cast extra, actually won the best Supporting Actor. Everyone agreed because his performance was memorable.. "PREPARE! PREEPAAAREE!"

When they announced that the event was officially over, I was very relieved and happy because I wanted to spend time with Cai and Jhomz that night. Jhomz was the MC so I really couldn't invite him to take pictures during boring moments. It's funny to think that when we DO get to be together, we have the least photos of ourselves. I actually have more photos taken with my classmates and I than with the both of them which was really a bummer. At least I was still able to grab snapshots of us together. :3

It was just a shame that I didn't have anywhere to go to after the party but to be honest, the only place I wanted to be after the event was HOME. Tiring as it was, the event was a blast. I actually enjoyed being at a formal event for once. I think I'm beginning to get addicted actually. Overall, the event was generally pretty okay, but it coudl've been better. I only wished that my OAOP was in Angeles last night.. that would just make my night. :)
Extra: I just realized that most of my poses either include the infamous PEACE sign or the ROCK (\m/) sign. LOLZ
