Taken from my bestfriend's sister's blog. Just for fun because I'm bored.
In no particular order, here are ten of some of the things that rock my world and/or make me happy:
1. FOOD. One of the best stress relievers out there. I just love trying out new cuisine.
2. My friends. (HS kada, UST friends and blockmates from college whom I miss so much)
3. Getting to see new places, in short - TRAVELLING.
4. My family.
5. A really beautiful morning and afternoon.
6. Hanging out with Arence
7. Shopping at the Ukay-ukay
8. A really good book
9. Photography
10. Movies and Music

Ten Things That Rock My World

my bottomless pit
How I wish that I had a normal METABOLISM. Really. I know that a lot of people tell me that it's a blessing that I have the fastest metabolism in the world, but like everything, you get tired of it. I've been as thin as a post ever since I can remember and the only time I really gained any weight was in HS when I drank a lot of beer. Makes perfect sense. But after sometime, my body went back to it's normal payat state. I was always a couple of pounds under 100 which is not normal. But I guess everyone else around thinks so.
Anyway, I just want to relate how my body works because it's like magic sometimes. You see, I have the type of appetite of, as bad as it sounds, a PG (patay-gutom). I am that type of person who gets hungry every thirty minutes just after finishing a meal; I'm the type of person who binges on food and who is very gluttonous in some way; and I am the type of person who does all these and never, and I mean never, GETS FAT.
Yes. You heard it right. I NEVER EVER GOT FAT. And it totally sucks. BOO my metabolism. (well just a little bit)
You see, being thin ain't all bad. But being thin isn't good either. My normal body weight for my height is 120lbs and I only frikin weigh a stunning 98lbs! (di pa ako pinaabot sa 100, gosh.) I know I'm pretty lucky in a lot of ways like I always have the right sizes for clothes, I don't have to worry about dieting and I would always look fit (or so they seem) to other people. I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I really find it ABnormal.
Uggh. What am I saying??
Uggh. What am I saying??
I really don't know where this post is going except all I know that this is supposed to be about my tummy. Uuh, yah.
So, while having my all-you-can-eat salad with Arence this afternoon, I suddenly realized how much I've been eating today and it really was a bit of a shock to realize that I've been stuffing my poor ol tummy with food every after 2hours or so. Here's a breakdown of the things I've eaten in the past 15 hours:
4:30am - Lugaw with chicken
6:30am - carrot cake
8:30am - caldereta with rice
12:30pm - sisig with rice
3:00pm - 2 plates of all-you-can-eat salad
Oh diba? Hindi man ako gutom. lol
This afternoon was beautiful. It was one of those afternoons wherein the sun was shining but the air was very cool. I was practically wearing my sweatshirt on the whole time. After work, I decided to go to Robinson's Balibago to play some arcade (yes, I'm a loner like that). Then met up with Arence to attend the PTA meeting of his brother which we then later found out that it was already over. Got to walk around the city, visit Jenra mall and even went to the weekly Ukay-ukay at the Nepo Quad which happens every Wednesday. Got to buy two shirts too which I wasn't expecting. Then decided to splurge once again on food at NB. It has been a long day I tell you but very worthwhile nonetheless.
In other news, my kuya finally had his long locks cut away last Sunday. It was a historic event and we captured every second with out trusty digicam. It's kinda sad that he had it cut off but it was for the better. I think he was getting ill because of his hair. I really don't know why tho. Anyway, here are some photos of me with his locks. How I wish I had hair like his

I forgot how long his hair was.

Mike and I posing with his newly cut locks. I like how the long hair fits me. :)

Zipped-locked.
Well, I gotta get some shut eye if I want to make it through my shift tonight. See you on my next post! Ciao!

new shoes to fill in
My my, it's been a while since I updated here. Been really busy with life (meaning work) and I really don't have any time to write all of the silly experiences that have occurred for the last days and weeks. I'm thinking about leaving this journal but I'm still not sure. I miss my LJ and as much as I enjoy Blogspot, it really isn't ME. But we'll see. Maybe this place isn't that bad after all.
The other day after work, dad and I got to have some quality time together. Being with my dad is always fun. Even if we just sit down for lunch at Jolibee and just talk to each other. We met at Robinson's for lunch that day and we got to do some catching up. Work has been chaotic (but fun none the least) but it's getting in the way of having to spend time with family.
While on the way home, I decided to pass by Nepo, see what's new. I stumbled upon one of the stalls that sells all those fake Class-A shoes and I saw something I liked. I popped my head into the small stall and asked the young saleslady to assist me with a size 7 of one of the new arrivals of Converse footwear. It was a mid-cut Chuck Taylor with bright yellow and hot pink as the color and it also include both colors for the laces. They looked fun to wear, but as the OC-OC person that I am, I didn't purchase them. They felt wrong just because of the fact that I know they weren't original and that the fit wasn't right. As much as the lady was insisting me to buy them, I couldn't let myself purchase something I wasn't comfortable with. But I didn't want to leave empty handed so I got these instead:

I simply love them. Just what I wanted. :)
Anyways, that's all I can share for now. I know there has been a lot of stuff going on lately but I just don't have the time and energy. BOO ME. Hopefully I will get to update more in the future, maybe at least once a week would be okay. And I'm off to work! See ya!

a bruised elbow party
Last night was a blast. After all the hard work I've been doing at work, I finally had the chance to go out again and for the first time in a long time, I went clubbing. And may I say that it was one of the funnest times ever.
But before the club partying began, I went out to meet up with some friends to check out the event at HAU. It was the last day of the university days so I figured, might as well check it out. My friend Pat was also performing that night so the gang and I got to catch him strut his stuff on the stage and hear him sing reggae style. Yah man!
After that beat pumping performance, we headed back to the stairs of Index to hangout. Took loads of pictures that night and it was fun. I just didn't like what happened when I fell to ground because someone from the group was too drunk with beer and something else that led my precious body falling. I acquired a bruise on my elbow and a hit on the head from this out of control incident. I'm just glad that no scrapes or scratches got to my legs or I would be really pissed off. Himala nga cuz I was wearing a skirt. I just wished that there weren't people around to see the fall. So humiliating. Oh, and that person too dropped my freakin camera. FUCK IT.
Anyway, I was glad to leave the place after having Bulan take care of my scrapes. He was sweet enough to clean and band-aid my elbow when he realized I got hurt. He's such a caring friend and one of the true ones. It was a bit of a shame that I had these bandages on that night and I even haven't even started partying yet. Nevertheless, the show still went on and I still pushed through to go clubbing.
As I reached Ministop with Joana, Marijo and Twitch, Princess was already waiting near one of the salons along the sidewalk. AJ arrived moments later and then we all proceeded to BALK LINE. We all looked pretty worn out because we haven't had much sleep that day but with a little touch of make-up at the lavatory, we eventually looked like humans again. We didn't go straight up to the venue because it was still crowded at that moment so we decided to sit down on one of the couches downstairs. Arence arrived momentarily and after chilling out for a while, we finally headed upstairs to check the crowd out.
It was packed alright. The dance floor was overflowing with dancing people and we were a the other end of the room from where the DJ was. I haven't been to Balk Line since 3rd year high school and at that time, you could still dance around without worrying about skin-on-skin contact. My friends from school were there which was really great cuz I miss them so much. I just found it weird to see them at Balk Line because they usually party at SAX but what the heck, I'm glad they decided a change of pace tonight. I introduced Arence to everyone and surprisingly, they got along with each other which made me real happy. After chatting with Gemma and the rest of the HRM gang, Arence, Aj, Princess and I boldly headed to the middle of the dance floor.
Arence and I never reached the DJ's spot but AJ and Princess did. It was fun to dance with him considering he isn't much of a dancer. He was practically following my moves most of the time but he did groove to the music quite well. I can't believe after almost 3years of being together,it was our first time to go out clubbing. Is that lame? haha I haven't had dinner yet so after sweating our asses off on the dancefloor, I invited Arence to have a little snack at a dimsum and noodle place outside. We had some beef siomai, siopao and wanton noodles and two glasses of their refreshing iced tea. YUM!
After the meal, we went back to meet up with AJ and Princess at Pozzo where Jayjay and new found friend Aaron were. Had a couple of beers to ease our bloated tummies. Found out that Aaron was Arence's classmate in gradeschool. It really is a small world we're in. Boys talked with each other and the three of us girls did the same. It was almost 4am when we decided to leave. I was able to buy a couple of bundles of suman from a vendor passing by for breakfast. Yes, I love suman and all those other kakanin. AJ and Princess left with Aaron and Jayjay whilst Arence and I rode the jeep instead.
I had so much fun last night. I wish every weekend were like last night. I was always a night person but not the night-party one. It was refreshing to have a change of pace now and then. The thrill of doing something new gives me this adrenaline rush that makes me feel alive. I never thought that I would have this much fun with new friends and I'm glad I didn't back out on the offer. Even though we were only together for a short period of time, we enjoyed every second of it. Hopefully this kind of thing would happen more often in the future. :)
Photos of the event are at my MULTIPLY site. GO check 'em out. Or you can click this link and this one too to lead you straight to the album. Duh. lolz

HOLY ANGELS and work
It's really hard trying to squeeze in all the activities that I used to do on a daily basis with my current schedule. I barely watch television, go on the internet and read the papers. And man do I miss reading the newspaper.
Anyway, I got home around 12noon. Aj and Princess were inviting me to go with them to SM but I declined the offer because I'd rather stay home and rest for the meantime than exhaust myself more walking around a mall. I'll do that on my day off. Maybe even visit Manila if I'm lucky.
The other day, Hershey, my co-trainee, was bringing some chocolates and it was the silliest chocolate bar name I've seen.
Isn't that just silly? :D
Speaking of Holy Angels, HAU is having their annual university days this week. It's always a 3-day event with rides and entertainment. I never really attended the UDAYS religiously, but I was always looking forward to watching the CAR SHOW on the first day. The cars they showcase are off the charts and look so freakin tight that every time I'm around them, I feel like I'm on "Pimp My Ride". I love the Volkswagen Beetles. I actually had a photo taken last year with one of the owners but unfortunately, it is currently store in my virus-infected USB. BOO!
Everyone at work has been busting their asses on calls non-stop. I think our mentors are so fed up with us asking them pretty much the same question everytime we encounter a concern with a customer that we don't know how to take care of. I'm still confused with the system but I'm learning something new everyday which is a good thing. I just have to concentrate more and listen carefully with the customer's concern. And let me just say, it's really hard trying to understand the Americans over the phone because of their accents and the reception. I'm lucky that most of the people I get to talk to are okay. How I wish that every customer was a breath of fresh air.
After today's shift, we took some photos around IQOR.
